What happens when a renewal payment fails
- Your plan keeps working for a grace period while we retry the charge automatically.
- Your Billing page shows "Your last payment didn't go through." with the date to update your payment method by, and your plan shows a "Payment failed" badge.
- If the renewal keeps failing and the grace period ends, your plan goes on hold and your account moves to Free. The Billing page then says your plan "is on hold". Updating your payment method restores it.
How to update your payment method
- Sign in and go to Billing & credits: https://www.anysola.com/dashboard/billing
- Click "Update payment method" in the alert, or the button on the Subscription card ("Manage billing", or "Invoices and payment history" once your plan is on hold). Both open the billing portal run by Polar, our merchant of record.
- Add or update your card in the portal.
You don't need to do anything else. The charge is retried automatically.
If you see an error
If the Billing page says "The billing portal couldn't be opened.", wait a few minutes and try again. If it keeps happening, or you see a charge you don't recognise, open a ticket at https://www.anysola.com/dashboard/tickets?new=1 and a member of the team will help.
